Creativity Challenge 20
I just read fellow lister, Jordan Ayan's book
Aha!: 10 Ways to Free Your Creative Spirit and Find Your Great
Ideas
In it he discusses hundreds of ways in which we can "free" our
creativeness through people connection, creative environments,
traveling, play & humor, reading, arts, technology, "PowerThink-
ing" alterconscious, and connection with your Creative Soul.
In one of the chapters he has provided an excellent tool for idea
sparking he calls transform.
He has taken the word transform and turned it into an acronym as
Bob Eberle took the word "S.C.A.M.P.E.R." to enrich Alex Osborn's
(creator of Brainstorming) creative thinking tool "Checklisting"
Your challenge this week is to take either the word "CREATIVE" or
the word 'INNOVATIVE" and turn it into an acronym representing
action words/verbs that you can use to "spark ideas" or change of
perspective when your creative juices have dried up or soured.
As Jordan has done your challenge is to create '4' lists of action
words
Here's a sample:
When you use this tool you take your problem and create a
sentence, i.e.:
"To develop more new clients I will _______."
invert my process.
temper my presentations.
vocalize (make more tapes).
explore approaches others use.
Your challenge is to create an IDEA SPARKING GRID using either the
word CREATIVE or INNOVATIVE consisting of four words for each
letter.
Then randomly pick one for each letter for the following
challenge.
"To lessen the burden of the packaging created by CD's I will
________." Fill in with your randomly picked words and finish the
statement(s).
