Look Until You Truly See, See Until You Truly Feel
Cre8ng Challenge
2000 - 20
One of the greatest books I have ever read about seeing so I could truly
draw what I was seeing is, The Zen of Seeing. I currently can not locate
my own copy. Perhaps one of you is aware of the book and can share the
author and publisher information.
The goal of this Challenge is to practice looking to improve your seeing
skills.
Each time that you choose to practice this challenge set aside at least 15
minutes. Use blank paper and a pencil, pen, crayon, charcoal, chalk, etc.
First exercise is to look at a small scene or setting. Record the shapes
that you see. Squares, triangles, circles.
Second exercise is to look and record the different types of lines you see.
Third exercise is to look and record the shadows you see.
Fourth exercise is to look and record the shades or colors you see.
Fifth exercise is to look and record all of these combined.
Best wishes seeing much more than you have ever seen before.
