Is It Really What I Think It Is?Creativity Challenge 2000 #49A key factor that can lead to improved creative thinking is thorough and unique observation. Let's practice our joint powers of observation and imagination jointly this week. Each day choose an object and describe it without using any of its normal labels. If you were to describe a tree do not use wood, timber, forest, branches or any other specific labels that narrow it down to simply a tree. Yet describe it thoroughly. Monday – Choose something from your home. Tuesday – Choose something from nature from your trip to work or school or other trip you make that day. Wednesday – Choose something from school, work or a store you go into. Thursday – Choose an object out of a newspaper or magazine. Friday – Choose an object from television or radio or perhaps a CD or tape you are listening to or watching. Share your descriptions to your respective list or to me directly and see how easily others can determine what you are describing. Have a creative week. It's always your choice.
