Alan's Creativity Challenges 2003-07
It Won't Work!!!This week let's practice generating those wonderfully painful phrases that people love to throw at creative people. Spend 10 to 15 minutes each day generating those "Tombstones", "Devil's Advocate Sayings", "Killer Phrases" or whatever else you want to call them. MONDAY Pick an idea out of a newspaper and general "killing ideas". Strive for the most you can produce. Try to keep in a fun mood about this. TUESDAY Pick an idea you see out an about today on a billboard, a sign, a street advertisement. WEDNESDAY Pick an idea from something you heard today. Please don't share these with the person you heard the idea from. Remember this is meant as a fun exercise not to kill anyone else's ideas. THURSDAY Pick an idea from a television show you watch or a movie you have seen. FRIDAY Pick an idea from a book or simply a book and generate killer phrases for it. The goal is to practice generating these type of phrases and to see who can end up with the absolute longest list of them. Please send them in. I'll collect them and share them all later. Have a fun week by hypothetically critical about creativity. Alan © 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006 Robert Alan Black, Ph.D. CSP |
