Alan's Creativity Challenges 2003-18
Combing Headlines for FunBack to headlines like in 2003-15. This week let's work on our verbal-written creativity having fun re-writing headlines by combining several of them together. Take some time to gather several headlines from a mix of sources. Copy them and put them in piles determined by where they came from: newspapers, magazines, type of magazines, television, radio, etc. MONDAY Pick up your collection of newspaper headlines and combine 2 or 3 of them randomly and write several new ones. TUESDAY Pick up your collection of magazine headlines and combine 2 or 3 of them randomly and write several new ones. WEDNESDAY Pick up your collection of radio headlines and combine 2 or 3 of them randomly and write several new ones. THURSDAY Pick up your collection of television headlines and combine 2 or 3 of them randomly and write several new ones. FRIDAY Pick up a random collection of one from each of your collections of headlines and combine 2 or 3 of them randomly and write several new ones. The goal is to practice generating creative thinking through the use of words, spacing, punctuation, capitalization, etc. Please send examples of your results. I'll collect them and share them all later with your approval. Have a fun week by tremendously support of the creativity that surrounds you.
