Collecting Helps Us Be More Creative

Studying creative people researchers have often discovered that they generally
were collectors or simply like collecting various things.

This week experiment with collecting. You can do this virtually or realistically.

MONDAY ? Past objects
Spend time thinking about collecting inanimate objects from the past. Search
around your house, office or school for samples of such things that you might
collect.

TUESDAY ? things from hotels
Spend time thinking about collecting things from hotels. Please do not steal any
towels for this assignment (ha ha). Search around your memory for what things
might you collect from hotels you have or might visit.

WEDNESDAY ? things from hobbies
Spend time thinking about collecting things related to one of your past, present
or future hobbies. Search around your house, office or school for samples of such
things that you might collect.

THURSDAY ? things from your favorite sports
Spend time thinking about collecting from one of your favorite sports. Search
around your house, office or school for samples of such things that you might
collect.

FRIDAY ? famous people
Spend time thinking about collecting things related to some famous people you
admire.

This week we are experimenting with a trait often found in highly creative people.

Please send examples of your results. I'll collect them and share them all later
with your approval.
