Checklisting a Tool

Creativity Challenge 11

Alex Osborn, creator of Brainstorming, founding partner of noted advertising firm BBD&O, also wrote about a creative thinking tool he labeled "Checklisting". Checklisting consists of using a list of verbs to spark your thinking about your challenge or problem, such as

Bob Eberle, friend of Alex's and long time faculty member of the Creative Education Foundation's Annual Creative Problem Solving Institute took Alex's concept of Checklisting and created an acronym to help people remember a quick way to spark their creativeness.

C  Combine
A  Adapt or Alter
M Minify or Magnify
P  Put to Other Uses
E  Eliminate something
R  Reverse some part or aspect

Your Creative Challenge this week is to create your own favorite acronym that uses the concept of Checklisting.

So think up a word or list some of your favorite sparking words/terms and discover or create a word.

i.e. C.R.E.A.T.E

I.N.N.O.V.A.T.E.
