Let Your Mind Go A'wandering

Cre8ng™ Challenge 2000-04

Often when we are up against a wall or feel stalemated by a challenge we simply need to get away from the challenge consciously and let our sub-conscious or unconscious take over and allow ourselves to be open to it.

Some people do this through varied forms of meditation: eastern and/or western. Your challenge this week is to allow your subsciousness to help you.

First choose an interesting yet not highly stressful challenge.

Then at night or just before taking a nap, a time when you feel tired enough to sleep take a few relaxing breathes to calm and center yourself.

When you feel comfortable and very calm think about the outcome you are seeking for the challenge you are choosing. Review the basic information. My suggestion is to try not to review or focus on stressful or negative aspects.

Review this information 3 or 4 times as you are relaxing and beginning to dose off.

You may then allow yourself to wake up or deliberately set an alarm for a specific time. Make sure you have some paper or a tape recorder to record what comes to your mind right at the moment you wake up.

Try this for five times. Keep track of the results.
