To Converge or To Diverge
That is The Question

Cre8ng™ Challenge 2000 - 21

Many years ago I came across a well developed highly rational problem solving process, KEPNER-TREGOE, in which you ask yourself or your group a series of questions to examine the problem and the resulting solutions.
What is it?
What is it not?
 
When does it happen?
When does it not happen?

The intent of this week's Challenge is to strengthen your converging skills to be able to apply them divergently when you are working on a problem.

Using the traditional Who, What, When, Where, Why, How system each day write questions for 15 minutes that may help you examine a problem or solution more thoroughly.

Each day choose a different one of the WWWWWH question starters. Then for 15 to 20 minutes write as many questions sparked by that starter as you can.

I.E.:

Who did it?
Who does it?
Who hasn't done it?
Who would never do it?
Who has done it that we don't know have done it?

At the end of the week accumulate all your questions and make a mini-poster out of them to use on future problems and solutions when you need to test them out.

Please share your results with the list or me directly.

I will gladly collect them and send out the total list to all those who submit their's.
