Alan's Creativity Challenges 2003-06

From Smiles to Smirks to Laughs to Creativity

Often in my experiences in workshops and reading books on creativity the use and
power of positive thinking and laughter have become obvious. This week let's
spark our creativity using humor in cartoon form.

One of my favorite cartoons is FRANK AND ERNEST created by Bob Thaves. He helped
the OZ Group at duPont create their fun book ARE WE CREATIVE YET? That represented
how the members of the OZ Group used creative thinking tools at duPont. The book
is filled with specifically chosen FRANK AND EARNEST cartoons used to reinforce
points in the book.

This week visit your favorite cartoonists'sites and spend 15 minutes each day
simply enjoying as many of their most recent cartoons as you can during your
Creativity Building time.

I have included some samples based on my favorites

MONDAY - FRANK AND EARNEST

THURSDAY - BORN LOSER

FRIDAY - DILBERT

Each day take 10 to 15 minutes to simply enjoy your favorite cartoons.

The more we laugh and smile the more we stretch our thinking and the greater we
increase the probability we will think more creatively.

Choose to experience a creative week this week.

Alan
