Alan's Creativity Challenges 2003-29

Honoring Dr. E. Paul Torrance

Dr. E. Paul Torrance, most world renown researcher of creativity and creative
thinking, passed away on Sunday July 13th in his home peacefully. For over 50
years Dr. T. researched creativity and the teaching, counseling, coaching and
training of creative thinking. The school program that his late wife, Pansy
Torrance, and he set up many years ago, the Future Problem Solving Program,
continues to teach children the Osborn-Parnes Creative Problem Solving Model and
many tools of creative thinking.

Each year in many US states and countries around the world: elementary, middle and
high schools, set up teams of students to learn and use the O-P CPS. Then in each
participating schools and communities competitions are held at the local level.
The winners go onto the state or country level. Finally teams from many countries
gather to compete at the International Competition each year.

I have attached one of his most recent products...the Torrance Incubation Model
for teaching.

From it comes this week's CC.
