Cartoon Captions

Creativity Challenge 32

This week's is a creative thinking warm-up exercise.

To warm up a brainstorming session I often will hand out copies of favorite cartoon strips or panels with the captions cut off or whited out.

Then I ask the people in teams of 4 or 5 to create 6 to 12 different "funny" or "weird" captions for their cartoon strip/panel.

This week I challenge you to pick out a cartoon strip/panel from a daily newspaper and white out or cut off the captions and then write 6 to 12 new ones or ask 6 to 12 people you work with or know to come up with one each.

Then share the results briefly describing the drawings and then the different captions.

(The spark for this CC was a email message I received from Dilbert's Scott Adams, who was sharing his email address.) and announcing the Dilbert Web Page

You can also access many other cartoonists' work handled by United Media through the same address.

Have a fun week
