Coloring Your Life with Creativity

Creativity Challenge 1999 #25

This challenge will involve you buying one or both of the following: 1) a 24 or more pack of crayons, brand your choice (Crayola usually is the best quality), 2) a 12 or more set of color pens (Pentel is usually the best quality).

Now during the day choose 4 separate and different colors (blue, red, purple, yellow, orange, green rather than 2 to 4 different greens). Then take a piece of blank copy or typing paper (if it stills exists) and spend 15 to 20 minutes creating a picture that demonstrates one principle of creativity or key creative thinking skill. Do it realistically, in cartoon form, in geometric or shape form or abstractly with lines, textures, shades, etc.

examples:

flexibility
fluency
divergency
brainstorm
off-the-wall
out-of-the-box

Try to work on a different one each day. If you want to complete one to post that's great.

Be visual. If you do not draw, paint, or do any other visual hobby then this will be a stretch. If you are an artist challenge yourself to use your other hand or both hands together.

If you want to play music in the background I suggest you vary your music choices each day.

Have a visually creative week.

Being creative is a choice, always a choice, always your choice.
