Smile, Yuck Up, Laugh, Roar on the Floor

Creativity Challenge 2000 #38

One characteristic found in highly creative people and in everyone else while they are being creative is the level of their sense of humor. Doing workshops has proven to me that one of the quickest ways to spark creativeness is to laugh, to look at things funny, to make jokes.

Let's practice this to tap and increase our creativeness this week.

Monday
Think up or collect a dozen proverbs and change part of them to make them funny.

i.e.

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

A bird in the hand...is messy

Fools rush in where angels fear to tread.<

Fools rush in...and get the best seats.

If you don't first succeed, keep trying.

If you don't first succeed, ...get new batteries.

Tuesday
List 12 everyday devices and dream up funny uses for them.

Wednesday
Find, borrow, buy, or check out some humor books and read jokes periodically throughout the day.

Thursday
Find, borrow, buy, or check out some cartoon books and read cartoons periodically throughout the day.

Friday
Rent funny movies or tapes of your favorite stand-up comedians.

Have a funny week and spark your creativity.
