LAUGH, LAUGH AND LAUGH SOME MORE

Creativity Challenge 2002 #51

Every highly creative person I have met has or has had a unique, and often great, sense of humor. The finest idea generating sessions and creative problem solving experiences I have been involved with were filled with laughter, off and on to throughout them.

This week work on your "sense of humor", "funny bone", etc.

Begin by assembling a collection of humor books, joke books, books about humor, books about comedians, website addresses devoted to humor and/or comedy.

Then each day spend 15 to 20 minutes deliberately laughing

MONDAY
Pick up one of the joke books and read jokes for 15 to 20 minutes

TUESDAY
Ask everyone you meet to tell you one of your favorite jokes.

WEDNESDAY
Set your vcr(s) or ask friends to help you by setting their vcr(s) also and tape the opening monologues of Letterman, Leno, and any other late, or late late late night talk show host shows.

THURSDAY
Practice laughing today for spurts of 1 to 3 minutes many times during the day ranging from snickers, hee hees, ha ha's to very deep belly laughs. Just simply laugh for no apparent reason except to laugh. You might do some of this with willing or unknowing or unwilling friends or strangers.

FRIDAY
Watch the Comedy network for 15 to 20 minutes or go see the documentary movie by Jerry Seinfeld, COMEDIAN.

Laugh, laugh, laugh and laugh some more this week.

Have a marvelously, gorgeously, luxuriously creative week.

Alan
