Alan's Creativity Challenges 2003-10

Creativity and Creative Thinking Smell

Our senses can help us generate creative thinking.

This week let's experiment with our sense of smell.

Take some time beforehand and collect several smells from around your house or go
to a discount store and roam the aisles looking for and collecting sample smells.
Then each day experience collections of smells and allow yourself to react
creatively.

You might choose to simply generate ideas using various creative thinking tools of
your choice, perhaps a different one each day. Check out any of the great books
that have collections of tools and techniques by Andy van Gundy, Michael Michalko
or Jim Higgins or even me.

MONDAY
Sweet smells

TUESDAY
Sour smells

WEDNESDAY
Very Pleasant and soft smells

THURSDAY
A combination of natural smells

FRIDAY
A collection of human made smells or create smells by altering something: burn,
chemical treat, freeze, etc.

The goal is to practice generating creative thinking with the aid of smells.

Please send examples of your results. I'll collect them and share them all later
with your approval.

Have a fun week by tremendously support of the creativity that surrounds you.

Alan
