It Ain't What It Looks Like

Creativity Challenge 2001 #42

This week go through some old magazines or books and collect a minimum of 25 photographs or drawings.

First from your 25 or more randomly choose 5 individual photographs or drawings and put them into separate folders, envelopes or piles. Do this 5 times, once per day: M, T, W, TH, F.

One suggestion is not to choose tragic or depressing photographs. This is why I do not encourage you to use current newspapers or news magazines as your source of photos. My suggested purpose of this Challenge is for you to have fun not become sad, frustrated, angry or depressed through the activity.

MONDAY - Choose a folder, envelope, or pile and then put the 5 randomly selected photographs or drawings in any order and begin to write a story that the series of photographs or drawings might represent. Make up situations, people, place or thing names using the details in the separate photographs or drawings.

TUESDAY - Choose a folder, envelope, or pile and then put the 5 randomly selected photographs or drawings in any order and begin to write a story that the series of photographs or drawings might represent. Make up situations, people, place or thing names using the details in the separate photographs or drawings.

WEDNESDAY - Choose a folder, envelope, or pile and then put the 5 randomly selected photographs or drawings in any order and begin to write a story that the series of photographs or drawings might represent. Make up situations, people, place or thing names using the details in the separate photographs or drawings.

THURSDAY - Choose a folder, envelope, or pile and then put the 5 randomly selected photographs or drawings in any order and begin to write a story that the series of photographs or drawings might represent. Make up situations, people, place or thing names using the details in the separate photographs or drawings.

FRIDAY - Choose a folder, envelope, or pile and then put the 5 randomly selected photographs or drawings in any order and begin to write a story that the series of photographs or drawings might represent. Make up situations, people, place or thing names using the details in the separate photographs or drawings.

Have fun letting the photographs help you create a new story each day.

Alan
