Go On A Visual Vacation and Tour

Creativity Challenge 2001 #43

Many of you know that I toured around the world this summer visiting New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, India, Dubai, Turkey, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, England and France plus I just returned from South Africa and Mauritius. Yes some people have to do the difficult work, ha ha!

When I originally began planning the trip my goal was to see and experience as many new things as I could and to meet many new people. All to enrich my creativity and have fun.

Sorting through the packages I sent back that have arrived so far sparked this week's challenge.

Gather a collection of books, magazines, video tapes or travel brochures of countries you have visited have never been to before from around the world, include one from each continent.

Each day set aside a half hour or hour to take a virtual trip.

Create your own order of tours.

MONDAY - North America

TUESDAY - South America

WEDNESDAY - Europe

THURSDAY - Asia

FRIDAY - Africa

SATURDAY - Australia

SUNDAY - Independent Island nation(s)

Imagine yourself touring through the scenes in the photos or videos. Let yourself talk to the people in the photos. Learn who they are and what they do for their livings, their families, their dreams.

Add to your pleasure by going to dinner in a restaurant, if available, that represents the cuisine of the chosen country each day or find a cook book and make such a meal.

Ask yourself some questions afterward.
